The Advances in Mineral Metabolism AIMM/ASBMR John Haddad Young Investigators Meeting will be held Saturday, April 4 (afternoon registration, plus an evening session) through Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in Snowmass, Colorado.  We adjusted the schedule as best we could, with limited availability of the conference room, to take into consideration the Passover holiday.

The meeting is held in the Janss Auditorium of the Snowmass Conference Center, in a small wraparound conference room, which can accommodate approximately 80 people.  When registration reaches that number we are unable to accept more.  The goal of this conference is to discuss important or evolving concepts in bone biology and clinical bone disease in a small and informal group setting.  Past participants in this meeting have enjoyed the relaxed environment and serious scientific and clinical discussions.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU REGISTER AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AS SPACE IS LIMITED!!  A check for the registration fee of $250
plus $50 per accompanying person over 12 years old should be made out to
AIMM and returned, along with the enclosed registration form, to Zoe Zampana, as soon as possible.

The atmosphere is enhanced by the midday break (9:30am - 4:30pm), which most use to enjoy a variety of activities available in the Aspen/Snowmass area,
such as downhill and cross-country skiing, tennis, hiking and relaxation.  This is a great opportunity to discuss science while having fun.  Meet the professor sessions will also be held during this timeframe.  One of the enjoyable features of
this meeting has been the ability to combine an interesting scientific medical program with family recreation.  We encourage you to bring your families with you.

We have booked space at the Silvertree Hotel located on the slope, at a special rate of $124/night single or double occupancy, and at the Wildwood Lodge, immediately next to the Conference Center, at a rate of $102/night for single or double occupancy.  There will be a $25/night charge for each additional person at both hotels.  Children under the age of 12 stay free in parent’s room; rollaways are $25/night, and cribs are free.  We have also blocked space at the Aspenwood at $109 per night for the studio units and $129 per night for the studio/loft units.  There will be a $12 per person per night over base occupancy.  Children under 5 years are free.  The Aspenwood is also within walking distance of the Conference Center.  A block of rooms is being held at the Laurelwood (Studio Suites) at a rate of $94 per night.  The rate includes up to 4 people in each unit.  Cribs and rollaways are an additional $10 per night.
